Review: Magic Wand Mini
The Magic Wand Mini has arrived! It has been a few months since this compact version of the Rechargeable Magic Wand hit shops. So when Betty’s Toy Box offered it to me for review, you know I had to jump at the chance! So let’s get right into the details and then I can tell you how it worked for me.

Magic Wand Mini Stats
You did read it right, the Magic Wand Mini is a compact version of the Magic Wand we have all come to love. Compared to the Original and Rechargeable, it is 3.5 inches smaller and 10 ounces (a little over half a pound) lighter. And don’t judge the size; it is just as powerful as its larger cohorts. There are three speeds of vibration, reaching a top speed of 6,000 RPM. This is equal to the Original Magic wand, but 300 RPMs less than the Rechargeable or Plus.
The head is made of smooth silicone and it has a fairly flexible neck. The handle is still the ABS Plastic that the other wands are made of. On the Magic Wand Mini, the controls are: A round power button, which you hold down to turn on and off; As well as plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to control the speeds. Getting to a full charge from no battery power takes about 4 hours and gives you 2.5 hours of playtime. To recharge the Magic Wand Mini, it comes with a 6-foot cord that plugs into any US-style plug. If you are international, you will need an adaptor. Also unlike the Rechargeable, you cannot use the Mini while it is charging.
Measurements:
- Overall Length: 9.6 inches
- Width: 1.9 inches
- Weight: 9.7 ounces
So What Do I Think?
Upon taking it out of the box, the first thing I noticed about the Magic Wand Mini is the weight. Compared to any of the other wands in the Magic Wand collection, it feels as light as a feather. My first test was seeing how much movement I had with my wrist, turning and twisting my hand while holding it as I would when in use. Those 10 ounces make a world of difference for someone with wrist problems! It didn’t cause the same amount of strain that a larger Magic Wand would. This boded well for actually testing it out.
During my first test, I quickly found out that I needed to hold the Mini differently. On a full-sized Magic Wand, I normally need to hold it closer to the head to keep the right control and pressure that I need. But with the Mini, it is much more comfortable to hold and maneuver closer to the end of the wand. This also puts me in a better range of the controls as well. This makes it all together just a little easier to navigate than the Original or Rechargeable, as well as just all-around more comfortable to hold.
Good Mini Vibes Only
Then, of course, we get to the vibrations. On its lowest setting, it’s easy to feel that the vibrations are still rather rumbly and deep. But compared to other Magic Wands, I feel like there is something that is lost in the size transfer: the broadness of the vibrations. With the Mini, the vibrations became less pinpoint and almost more narrow. This did allow for a lot more focus directly on the central point of the clitoris. But none of the deep vibrations get down to the inner glands for extra stimulation. On the lower end of the vibrations, this is great for a chill masturbation session. While on the highest vibration settings, it still packs a real punch. The narrowness of the vibrations works in its favor. Achieving quite an orgasm, but nothing near as potent as what I would have gotten with a larger size.
Rolling back to the wrists, the size and hand placement also helped fight off fatigue in my hand. I was unable to feel any of the vibrations through the handle of the Magic Wand Mini. Plus it was also great for just letting my legs hold the Mini in place and just go hands-free. Another way the smaller head made the Mini stand out from its counterparts? This allowed me to use a greater range of insertable toys along with the size of the wand. For example, I was able to use some of my thickest toys, which normally I need to enjoy separately from most wand use. So in this case, size does matter.
Other Great Magic Mini Wand Uses
Aside from being a great sex toy, the Magic Wand Mini held up well for some more mundane self-care tasks as well. The smaller size made it perfect for a facial massage, specifically the jaw muscles. While I could use the larger wands for this and have, the Mini gave me just a little more control in being able to focus on specific points rather than vibrate my whole face. I also found that it is perfect for a gentle foot massage after a very serious toe-stubbing incident. Once again, the smaller size allows for it to get into the particular curves and niches of the foot. This gave me the ability to get the knots out from my foot being bandaged up, but not harm any of the sore areas.
Overall Thoughts
While it may be different from its larger counterparts, I really do enjoy the Magic Wand Mini. Personally, I think that it is best for someone who wants to be able to take the power of a larger Magic Wand with them for travel but wants to save what space it might take up in their luggage. I would also highly recommend the Magic Wand Mini for anyone who finds the Magic Wand Original or Magic Wand Rechargeable to be too heavy or bulky. My honest suggestion is to compare the various models to find what you think would work best for you.
You can get the Magic Wand Mini at Betty’s Toy Box for $89.99; not the lowest of price options for the Magic Wand line, but one of the few that is under $100.
Thank you Betty’s Toy Box for sending me the Magic Wand Mini in exchange for this review.
