With the weather getting warmer, it is no surprise that many are thinking about getting out of the house to shake off the cabin fever. From long distance traveling, road trips, or even simple picnics in the park, there is so much to do. Not to mention, the extra exposure to sunlight and that sweet vitamin D can bring about an increase in arousal. And if you are feeling really frisky, you can combine these things for some hot summer fun. 

Travel With Sex Toys

Traveling with sex toys is fairly simple, many of them are just pack and go. However, depending on how you are traveling, there are some best practices to consider. 

Traveling by Airplane

With checked bags and TSA, there is a lot to take into account. Personally, I opt to put any toys into checked bags when I have the option and keep them in drawstring bags with their charge cords. However, I highly recommend also getting toys that have travel locks so that there is less chance of them turning on while in your bag. Or if there is no travel lock, running the battery out and wait to recharge when you reach your destination.

And if you aren’t able to check your bags and are simply going with a carry on, my best advice is to skip the drawstring bags and honestly put them into a ziplock. It may not be pretty, but it is the best way for TSA to see what it is should they need to check your bag. It is also my suggestion that when traveling with sex toys in your carry on, opt for smaller toys. 

Road Trips

This is honestly as simple as pack and go. Your bags are going to be with you or in your car the majority of the time. And if you are making stops to sleep at a motel or hotel, you have an easy place to clean and charge them. The same tends to go if you are traveling via RV. However, should you be strictly staying in your car, it can be trickier. Less access to power supply will be one of the main difficulties. Depending on the car, you may have the ability to access USB ports, which will make things easier. But those who are sporting older models, I highly suggest a portable battery pack. Not only is it great to have for emergencies, but you can also take the battery pack into rest stops to recharge it without the worry of letting everyone see your toys. And to avoid awkward interactions for cleaning, toy cleanser is a boon. 

Summer Outings

For this, I recommend small toys only; things you can put into smaller bags like purses and totes. Make sure they are fully charged before you leave, of course. Depending on where you are going, being discreet is key. Especially if you are in populated places, even if you have a nice secluded area to use. 

A Word Of Caution

With being outdoors, especially in the cases of a lot of different travel destinations, you are going to be in contact with other people. Discretion is absolutely necessary when using toys out in public. The rest of the public will likely not be happy if you are caught in these situations, and certainly are not consenting to be a part of your activities. In this case, here are some things I suggest: 

• Avoid places where minors can be. This includes parks with playgrounds, amusement parks, the zoo, national parks, and public pools. 
• Be aware of your surroundings. While the fun is focusing on the pleasure, being aware of who is around matters. In the case of using remote toys, you can turn it off before people get too close.
• Use toys on lower settings. It may be fun to turn it up to high to really get reactions, playing with toys set on low can not only draw out the foreplay, but there is no need to stop once you are alone and can really kick things up a notch. 
• And to go with above, keep it at foreplay. Unless you’re staying at a private cabin or other home where your surroundings are sure to be clear of others, the last thing you want to do is risk getting caught in public having sex. 

Favorite Toys for Travel

This is just a smattering of toys that I think are great to travel with or use discreetly in more semi-public settings. And while some of these toys seem like they would work best with couples, I have also picked them because they are great solo as well. 

We-Vibe Moxie

As far as vibrators meant to be worn in underwear go, this one is hands down the best in my opinion. Not only is it super quiet and very powerful, but the shape and design is easy to use for just about everyone. The magnet clip keeps it in place so you don’t have to worry about any awkward slipping should you be wearing a skirt. It has a run time of just about 2 hours, so you will also get ample play time from it. The small size also makes it very easy to travel with, no matter what you might be getting up to. And you can control it via remote or mobile app depending on what feels best to you. 

We-Vibe Bond

This toy is much like the We-Vibe Moxie, but is made for people who have a penis. In my opinion, the best part about the Bond is the Custom Fit link, meaning it will fit a variety of penis sizes. It does need a bit of strength to stretch the ring so that you can put it on. But after that you can make sure it fits just right so you know it will stay in place. And for extra fun, you could always use the Bond and the Moxie at the same time with a partner, even over long distances. That way, if it is just a movie night and FaceTime, you can have some frisky fun as well. 

Crave Vesper

There’s no better way to travel with a sex toy than to wear it around your neck. The Crave Vesper necklace is a sleek metal bullet that can be worn like a stylish necklace. To many people, it looks like a statement piece with a distinct pendant. Only those who have seen it or own one themselves will really know what it is. The button to turn it on and the charge port are well hidden, so this is the pinnacle of discreet. And while it is small, the motor is very powerful, with even the lower setting being quite strong. I personally find the lower two settings to be rumbly, while the higher two settings are buzzy. So there is a setting for everyone. Even if you aren’t using it, just wearing it out with the knowledge of having it can be a rush. Especially if you know you are planning to use it later. 

Femme Funn FIXX Bullet XL

The FIXX Bullet made my quick list for a couple of reasons. First, it is a larger bullet toy that has the same power as smaller bullets, but makes it easier for anyone to use and handle. The slim design makes it easy to put in most bags. And most of all, it is only $30 so it is great for any budget. Femme Funn toys are known for having a lot of power and being great quality as well. The only downside that one might find with it, is that it is battery powered, and some can find this to be a hassle. However, it only needs Triple-A batteries, which is far better than many bullets that need specific sized button batteries. So even if you forget your own batteries, you can pick some up almost anywhere you may shop.

While these are my picks, this is by no means extensive, as you can clearly travel with any toy. These are just some of my personal favorites.
